I received my BSc degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (Brazil), where I also worked on my PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2014. After working with Harold Erickson (Duke) and David Rudner (Harvard Medical School), I completed my postdoctoral training with Ethan Garner at Harvard in 2019. I led my group as an Assistant Professor at Brandeis University between 2019 and 2025, when I moved my to Indiana University as Associate Professor with tenure.

I am as passionate about how molecules self-organize in space and time under microscopes as about how stuff is made under the devices we use in our daily routine. I believe that science and arts share the same vision: to create and understand.
